Remember the calendars that I was putting up in our room each month?

Yesterday's suggestion was "Contact a neighbour or friend and offer to help them"

Today's is "Share what you are feeling and be willing to ask for help".

In your learning journal, write a short paragraph about giving and asking for help. Why is this particularly important right now?

There were some great ideas about the graphs I posted yesterday. Interestingly, about 95% of you connected your graph analysis to the Coronavirus. I can tell what is top of mind for everyone! Today, a graph with a bit more information. Based on the graph below please answer the following questions in your learning journal.
a) What is the label for the X-axis?
b) What is the label for the Y- axis?
c) What is this graph about?
d) What can you tell me about the person who created this graph?

Literacy
A couple of you have let me know that you have already read and studied The Giver. If you have already read The Giver, you can study the companion novel Gathering Blue. Please - only read Gathering Blue if you have already read The Giver.

Gathering Blue

For both The Giver and Gathering Blue:
Please read the first chapter. Both of these books take place in communities very different from the one we live in. In your learning journal, tell me what information you learn about the community that your book is set in. What questions do you have about the community?
