Take Me Outside Day

Although not the best weather for the official Take Me Outside Day, we still made sure we got outside.

Please answer the following questions using pictures, numbers and words.

1. Suki buys a dress for 20% off the original price. She saves $40.

    a) What was the original price of the dress?

    b) What did Suki pay?

2. Shanice is buying a laptop. She finds one she would like for $995. 

    a) If she buys the laptop today, what would she pay after the tax (13% HST) is added?

    b) Tomorrow there is a one day sale of 20% off. What would she pay, including tax, if she waited until tomorrow to make her purchase?
