Math - Integers

We will have a quiz on Thursday. Please answer the following question in your learning journal. Make sure you use an illustration or model to show me how you got your answer.

An airplane started at 0 feet. It rose 21,000 feet at takeoff. It then descended 4,329 feet because of clouds. An oncoming plane was approaching, so it rose 6,333 feet. After the oncoming plane passed, it descended 8,453 feet, at what altitude was the plane flying?

Health - Substance Use and Misuse

Please choose a media piece (an advertisement, a music video, a part of a movie or tv show...) that portrays some type of drug use and answer the following questions in your learning journal.

1.What drug is your media piece referring to?

2. How is it portrayed? What do they want you to think?

3. What is the reality of that drug? What can actually happen?
